Doctor in musicology and musician, he combines musicological research, musical practice and management, convinced that it is necessary to make an interdisciplinary effort to disseminate forgotten musical heritage.

Carry out an ambitious project to recover Spanish musical heritage
Started in 2005, with the founding of the La Grande Chapelle ensemble and the Lauda record label. It has released unpublished works by the great masters from 1500 to 1800, through concert premieres or first world recordings.

His recovery project «Pedro Ruimonte in Brussels" was a beneficiary of the BBVA Foundation Grants to Researchers and Cultural Creators 2016.
In 2005, he began an ambitious project to recover musical heritage
Spanish with the founding of the La Grande Chapelle ensemble and the Lauda record label. Since then, it has been releasing unpublished works by the great masters of the 16th to 18th centuries (A. Lobo, P. Ruimonte, J.P. Pujol, C. Patiño, J. Hidalgo, C. Galán, S. Durón, J. García de Salazar, F. Valls, J. de Nebra, A. Rodríguez de Hita, F.J. García Fajer, J. Lidón etc.) in what constitute world premieres or first recordings.
He is a researcher at the Cultural and Society Institute of the University of Navarra
He has published musicological articles in various magazines and encyclopedias and has been a member of research projects. He develops his work in the group “Links, creativity and culture” of the Culture and Society Institute (ICS) of the University of Navarra.
Awards
In addition to the numerous critics' awards, in 2023 it has been recognized with the Culture Award of the Community of Madrid in the classical music category, for the "contribution it makes to the dissemination and knowledge of Spanish historical musical heritage."
