Poetic Music highlighted as a unique experience of socio-economic research valorisation

The CSIC and Lauda Música Poetic Music Collection has been selected as a unique example of the socio-economic value of scientific knowledge, and a video ((Música poética) has been produced as part of the DINA-ITC Programme. On 2 April 2025, the results of the programme were presented at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The experience stands out for the fruitful collaboration between Lauda Musica (and La Grande Chapelle) and the Poetic Music Research Group of the University of Barcelona and the Milá i Fontanals Institute for more than 20 years, which has allowed poetic musical research on Spanish composers of the Renaissance and Baroque periods to be interpreted and recorded for the first time in the contemporary era. The experience highlights three very important aspects: the scientific rigour of the performances and recordings resulting from the collaboration, the personal commitment of the researchers and the record label, and the institutional support of the CSIC in promoting and sustaining the collection.

The DINA-ITC Program, which ran from July 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024, was developed at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) under the scientific and technical direction of INGENIO (CSIC-UPV). It was sponsored and funded by the General Secretariat for Innovation (MICINN) with Next Generation EU funds (Measure C17.I5. Knowledge Transfer of the Spanish Government's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan).
